Content Archival Policy (CAP)
Content Archival Mechanism is in place to ensure that all outdated website URLs are removed from the GOI Web Directory or moved to archive. This will help in ensuring the team that the expired contents are removed from the Directory. Government Websites, Programmes and Schemes which are discontinued should be archived. The content elements on the directory has different Entry/Exit Policy and Archival Policy as enlisted below:-

1 Union Government Whenever Union Government Ministries/Departments are realigned/created/change in work distribution, Discontinuation of Programmes / schemes and Completion of its validity period. To be kept for ever in the archives
2 State Government & Union Territory Administration Whenever State/UT Government Departments are realigned /created /change in work distribution, Discontinuation of Programmes/schemes and Completion of its validity period. To be kept for ever in the archives
3 District Administration Discontinuation of Programmes /schemes and Completion of its validity period. To be kept for ever in the archives
4 Judiciary Whenever Judicial Organisations / Institutions are realigned/created/ change in work distribution. To be kept for ever in the archives
5 International Whenever International Missions are realigned/created/change in work distribution. To be kept for ever in the archives
